Despite a number of glitches with its 787-8s, Air India is struggling to gain any compensation from Boeing due to a lack of contractual provisions for technical problems, according to media reports. Despite the contract, the airline is still attempting to gain compensation from Boeing for the operational disruption caused by the glitches with the aircraft. Air India has also been required to take delivery of three, now unwanted, 777-300ERs, due to the absence of “cancellation” clause in the purchase agreement with Boeing.
