Air India has selected RTX’s Collins Aerospace for a full suite of avionics hardware to be integrated into its 140 737 MAX aircraft. The hardware will enhance the airline’s safety, fuel efficiency and operational performance. The deal was announced at this year’s Singapore Airshow. “Equipping their new MAX fleet with our advanced suite of avionics underscores Air India’s trust in our technology and commitment to innovation,” said Collins Aerospace vice president and general manager of avionics sales, marketing and aftermarket services Craig Bries. The package comprises of air data sensors, communication, navigation, and surveillance equipment.
