A new directive issued by the Iran Civil Aviation Organization (IrCAO) could see all commercial aircraft over 20 years old banned from active service with Iran Air. IrCAO Director General, Alireza Jahangirian stated that the directive was part of a raft of measures the regulator has created, in order to push airlines to renew their fleets with younger aircraft.
