IATA May 2023 report records 96.1% global passenger traffic recovery compared to May 2019

The global passenger traffic for May 2023 rose to 39.1% as compared to May 2022 and 96.1% as compared to May 2019, according to the latest figures released by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). The data reflects continued strong growth in air travel demand. As per IATA report, the domestic traffic for May rose 36.4% compared to the year-ago period and 5.3% above the May 2019 level.
