Canada is seeking an expanded airline agreement with Kuwait. Details of the plan were not made public but come just one year after relations were sullied with the United Arab Emirates over the same issue. Canada signed a memorandum of understanding with Kuwait in July to use one of its military bases to support operations in Afghanistan.
