Wichita-based aerostructure manufacturer Spirit AeroSystems has appointed Mark Miklos as senior vice president of its defence and space business. Miklos, who is a vice president at Spirit, is to take over the senior role from Duane Hawkins, who is retiring, with the appointment coming into effect on April 1 2023. “Mark brings both industry experience and operational expertise to the role as he helps us further diversify Spirit’s portfolio. Also, we are grateful for Duane’s contributions across Spirit which includes both commercial and defence programmes,” said Tom Gentile, Spirit’s president and chief executive.
