Sam Marnick, executive vice present and chief operating officer of Spirit Aero Systems, is to leave the company, its chairman has confirmed. Describing Marnick has having “played a pivotal role in establishing Spirit as an independent company,” president and CEO Patrick Shanahan confirmed that Spirit Aerosystems would now be “taking this opportunity to realign to enhance programme execution and integration across operations”. Shanahan added that Terry George will now serve as interim vice president, leading site operations in Kansas and Oklahoma including Fabrication, Operations Engineering, Tooling and Facilities.
