International charity Orbis, which operates a flying eye hospital, in a bid to prevent and treat avoidable blindness and visual impairment has revealed that in 2018 it raised nearly £7.5 million. The charity supported 25 projects across 11 countries – showing its global reach being stronger than ever. Many of its projects are in Ethiopia, where this year marked 20 years of sight-saving work.
