Lufthansa and pilots’ union reach collective agreement

Lufthansa Group and the Vereinigung Cockpit pilots’ union have reached a significant long-term collective agreement. The new agreement will increase at least 18% in basic pay over the next three-and-a-half years, along with improved working conditions for pilots. The collective remuneration agreement (‘VTV’) will remain in effect until December 31, 2026 while the terms-of-employment agreement (‘MTV’) will be effective till December 31, 2027. Apart from the hike in salary, other benefits offered include, a one-time payment of 3.75%of annual compensation, up to a maximum of €3,000 in 2023, improved work-life balance for pilots, featuring more predictable leisure time and roster
