Glasgow Airport ground services staff win 11% pay rise

Ground services crew employed by Menzies Aviation at Glasgow Airport have accepted a new one-year pay deal worth an increase of 11% on basic pay, the Unite trade union has announced. The more than 200 workers, who include dispatchers, allocators, airside agents and controllers, voted 82% in favour of the Menzies offer, which will be backdated to January 2023 and follows an increase on a 2022 deal in which Menzies had increased basic pay by up to 9.1% “This is an excellent deal at Menzies Aviation secured by our brilliant reps,” said Unite general secretary Sharon Graham.
