Triumph announces GE deal for Leap engine gearboxes

Triumph’s Geared Solutions business has agreed a long term deal General Electric (GE Aerospace) for the inlet gearboxes in LEAP-1A, LEAP-1B and LEAP-1C engines. This work will be done at Triumph’s facility in Macomb, Michigan, and will see the two companies extend a 35-year partnership that has seen Triumph ship over 25,000 gearboxes. “This extension is the result of Triumph’s investment in production capacity and the Macomb team’s quality, schedule, and cost performance across a wide range of gear and gearbox applications on GE engines,” said Pete Gibson, president of Triumph Geared Solutions, which “specialises in designing and making commercial
