India-based HCLTech has signed a deal to “digitally transform” Swiss aircraft repair specialists SR Technics’ operations. HCLTech is to implement what a “new greenfield SAP S/4HANA environment hosted on Microsoft Azure using RISE with SAP” – work it says will allow SR Technics “to transform and simplify its business operations, enabling it to modernise the application stack and optimise IT operating costs”. SR Technics, which provides maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services to the civil aviation sector, aims to “further enhance service delivery to customers” with the HCLTech link-up, according to Patrick Kuster, SR Technics senior vice president IT.
