MTU Maintenance Berlin-Brandenburg has received test approval from the German aviation authority, the Luftfahrtbundesamt (LBA), allowing it to conduct the full range of MRO services on the CFM56-7B engines, including testing, at the site. The approval also certifies it under the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). “The ability to test CFM56-7B engines in Europe, North America and Asia within an independent network is quite unique to MTU because customers from any market in the world have near-immediate access to our comprehensive services,” said MTU Maintenance Berlin-Brandenburg managing director and SVP Andre Sinanian.
