Germany’s Lufthansa Technik and Avianca have signed a contract covering repair and overhaul of components for the Colombian carrier’s Boeing 787 fleet, the two companies announced on December 14. The deal is the latest arrangement in their decade-old relationship, they added, and would mean the carrier “will have on-time availability” of components, according to Avianca vice president of maintenance Albert Perez Subiros. “We are delighted to further strengthen our partnership with Avianca and continue to build on our relationship for years to come”, said Georgios Ouzounidis, Lufthansa Technik vice president corporate sales for the Americas.
