Lufthansa Cargo commences Frankfurt hub modernisations

Lufthansa Cargo is to invest a total of almost €500 million in the upgrade and modernisation of its Frankfurt cargo hub, including a new-build warehouse, following the formalisation of a signed contract with development partners. Under the LCCevolution project, a 40-metre-tall high-bay warehouse in the north of Frankfurt Airport (benefitting from an automated transport system) will be joined by a upgraded ancillary network of buildings, spanning a total area of more than 70,000 square metres.
