European Commission executive vice-president Margrethe Vestager said the body “will carefully study” the May 10 judgement by the EU General Court annulling Brussels’ approval of over €7bn in pandemic state aid given to Lufthansa and Scandinavian Airlines (SAS). “We are aware of the uncertainty the judg[e]ments generate for the airlines concerned and the aviation sector at large.
