TAR Aerolineas fails to return AE3007 engine to WLFC

TAR Aerolineas has failed to return the AE3007 engine along with overdue payments to Willis Lease Finance Corporation (WLFC), the company claimed. WLFC had issued a notice to TAR Aerolineas on January 16, 2024 to demand for overdue payments and the return of its engine for its failure to comply with the lease agreement. WLFC said in a statement: “TAR has failed to comply with the notice, still with overdue payments, and with its CEO, Ricardo Baston, refusing to return a leased AE3007 currently installed on ERJ145LR (serial 145078) and being utilised by the new Mexicana, a state-owned airline.” TAR
