A wet-lease agreement has been finalised between Flydubai and Smartwings for four Boeing 737-800s. The agreement between Flydubai and the Czech Republic-based airline will run from 14 December to 25 January 2020. Flydubai CEO Ghaith Al Ghaith said: “The continued grounding of our MAX aircraft has had a significant impact on our operations with a 30% reduction of our flying schedule … these four additional aircraft will enable more passengers to have more travel options during the holiday season.” The agreement comes as a result of the prolonged grounding of Boeing’s 737 MAX.
