Air Astana reports $78.4 million profit after tax in 2022, eyes strong recovery in 2023

Air Astana Group reported an after-tax profit of $78.4 million in 2022, reporting a strong recovery in an attempt to position itself as a new hub for East-West route. The airline posted a revenue of $1.03 bn and flew around 7.35 million passengers. The airline had reported a 36.1 million after-tax profit in 2021. Following the reopening of China border and Western sanctions on Russia, the airline is expanding its network to meet increasing demand.
