Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has approved aircraft manufacturer ATR’s near-term emissions reduction targets, after the independent assessment. ATR is aiming to reduce absolute greenhouse gas emissions related to operational processes and energy consumption by 50.4% by 2030. These targets were designed to be in line with the 1.5°C trajectory outlined in the Paris Agreement, which came into force November, 2016.
