Renewable natural gas and fuels company Aemetis has received an authority to construct air permits for its planned sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and renewable diesel production plant in Riverbank, California. “Achieving this essential permitting milestone is a critical step in advancing the project to financing, procurement, and construction,” said Aemetis CEO and chairman Eric McAfee. The US $380bn Inflation Reduction Act 2022 has supported the project with its SAF tax credits. The plant is estimated to produce 78 million gallons per year when allocating 100% of production to SAF.
