Vistara has become the first airline in India to fly a commercial domestic flight using sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). The brand-new Boeing 787-9 took off from Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in Delhi to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai utilising a 17% SAF to 83% conventional jet fuel blend. “We were able to save around 10,000 pounds of CO2 emissions on this flight.
