Virgin America has reversed a net loss of $145.4million in 2012 to report a net income of $10.1 million for the full year 2013. Revenue rose by 6.9% to $1.43 billion, with expenses rising by 1.5% to $1.34 billion. The carrier’s operating income was $80.9 million in 2013 compared to an operating loss of $31.7 million in 2012. Total RASM increased 9.3% over 2012, to 11.64 cents, with CASM, excluding fuel costs, increasing by 3.3% to 6.83 cents. This modest increase was largely driven by network changes that reduced aircraft utilization by 6.7%. Total CASM increased by 0.5% to 10.96
