Norwegian Air spokesman Lasse Sandaker-Nielsen has stated that the requirement for further inspection of the Trent 1000 engines on its fleet of Boeing 787s issued by Rolls-Royce will impact 15 of its 27 Dreamliners. “We’re disappointed with Rolls-Royce and Boeing,” he said. “Along with other airlines that have Boeing 787 Dreamliners with Rolls-Royce’s Trent 1000 Package C motors, Norwegian will also have to carry out inspections.” He added that inspections were already underway, affecting service on its route from Paris-Orly to New York.
