Swiss International Airlines (SWISS) has retired its oldest aircraft in the fleet, Airbus A321 HB-IOC after almost 27 years of flying. The aircraft was known as Olympic Plane’ due to its IOC (International Olympic Committee) registration. Olympic Plane will now be dismantled in Castellon, Spain. During the course of its commercial flights in the last 27 years, the aircraft carried over seven million passengers, completed roughly 47,000 takeoffs and landings, and logged over 73,000 revenue-earning service hours.
