Stormy weather in caused the cancellation of at least 300 flights in Texas. American and United, which each operate their largest hubs in Texas, bore the brunt of the cancellations. Lightning forced a ramp shutdown at Dallas/Fort Worth yesterday and American Airlines and American Eagle cancelled 192 flights as a result says. United cancelled 95 flights from Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport and 15 operated by its regional United Express affiliates. Southwest cancelled a combined 13 flights in Houston and Dallas.
