Southwest Airlines has declared that it is not yet ready to publicly discuss a timeline for introducing services to Hawaii. However the airline is setting in motion plans to allow such a move including new contract changes with flight attendants that will allow the airline to operate flights that require flying over the oceans, while its pilots also approved overwater flights agreement in June. More labor agreements as well as fleet, technology and regulatory considerations , will need to be addressed too before any schedule changes can be announced by Southwest.
