The Polynesian Parliamentary Finance Committee has issued a letter to Samoa Air, asking the airline to pay the debts it owes to Polynesian Airlines. The Committee stated the debt settlement is necessary for Polynesian Airlines to continue its recent good financial results. Samoa Air allegedly owes $49,318.63 for the use of Fagalii airport for domestic flights between Upolu and Savaii. The amount is disputed by Samoa Air CEO Chris Langton. The Committee also recommended that Polynesian Airlines should be privatized.
