Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary has stated that the airline is likely to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for a stake in Cyprus Airways. The Cypriot government currently owns a 93.67% stake in the carrier; and earlier this week the government stated that a rescue package for the airline may involve a sell-off. O’Leary said: “We probably will make some expression of interest in Cyprus Airways. We want to see if we could help the government come up with some rescue package even though it might be too late.”
