Real Tonga Airlines has grounded one of its two MA60s and intends to return it to manufacturer Xi’an Aircraft Industry. The aircraft was sent as a gift to Tonga by the Chinese government in 2013 but the aircraft type has been refused certification in New Zealand and Australia and the airline is under pressure from New Zealand to stop flying the aircraft over safety concerns.
