Qantas has confirmed that it is to delay delivery of two Airbus A380s originally due to deliver early next year, and will not receive the last six A380s on order until 2018. This will cut the airline’s capital expenditure from $2.3 billion to $1.9 billion in the next financial year. This is a wise move and one that highlights once again the flexibility between manufacturer and airline.
