NEW LITHUANIA BASE FOR WIZZ AIR

Low cost airline Wizz Air plans to establish an operating base in Vilnius, Lithuania using one new A320 from April 16, 2011. Wizz Air will launch eight new routes from Vilnius to destinations in the UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Sweden, Italy and Spain. Jozsef Varadi, chief executive officer of Wizz Air said: “The opening of the Vilnius base will allow many people to enjoy our truly low fares coupled with excellent Wizz travel experience. Beyond further enhancing the travel opportunities in the Lithuanian market, we will create hundreds of local jobs and significant revenue uplift for the local tourism industry.”
