Norwegian carried 1.2 million passengers and reported a load factor of 84% in February. Traffic was up 83% on the same month the previous year, with flights to “warmer places in the Mediterranean and popular winter destinations in the Alps” seeing high demand. “This demonstrates Norwegian’s ability to offer an attractive product to passengers throughout the year, even during the seasonally slower winter months. High load factors also increase our fuel efficiency, an important parameter from a sustainability perspective,” said chief executive Geir Karlsen. Over 99% scheduled flights were completed with 85.4% leaving within 15 minutes of schedule.
