On December 1, 2021, Aer Lingus launched its very first direct flight, EI45, from Manchester to New York, JFK using its Airbus A321LR. The flight marked the expansion of Aer Lingus transatlantic services for customers from the UK and its first direct flight between the UK and the United States.
