Cirium’s flights tracked data shows a massive 67% drop in flights across the North Atlantic when comparing 2021 to the same period in 2019 (passenger flights flown for 1st Jan – 1st Sep 2019 vs 2021 – North America to Europe). Cirium data analysis reveals that 130,727 passenger flights in total were flown by airlines from North America to Europe between Jan 1 and Sep 1 2019. This equates to 36.4 million seats. For the same time frame in 2021, there have been a total of 42,677 flights flown from NA to Europe. This equates to around 12 million seats.
