Air Europa has reported a loss of €427.7 million last year compared to a profit of 27.7 million in 2019. The airline received a €475 million bailout from the Strategic Companies Solvency Support Fund (SEPI), but the airline has stated that it is expected that “depending on the liquidity needs, the company will receive an additional amount with which to solve its future liquidity needs that will require the corresponding aid modification request subject to applicable regulations”. Air Europa remains working towards the finalisation of its sale to Iberia.
