Lufthansa resumed its Munich-Beijing route from July 1, 2023 after three-and-a-half-year temporary halt. The airline has deployed its A350-900 on the thrice weekly route. The flights will be operated on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. This service resumption comes as a response to China easing almost all of its COVID-19 protocols after years. In April, Lufthansa recommenced operating flights to Shanghai (PVG) from MUC as well. This service also operates thrice weekly using the A350s.
