All Nippon Airways has filed an application with the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Tourism for antitrust immunity for a joint venture with Lufthansa on routes between Europe and Japan. The application is expected to be agreed during the summer months. This is the latest in a strong of ANA JVs as the airline tries to completely take over as the Japanese carrier of choice from the dust of JAL.
