Lufthansa has appointed Sven Thaler as its new senior director of sales for northern Europe. Thaler will oversee a sales region of 11 countries and report to Lufthansa Group Airlines vice president sales EMEA Lorenza Maggio. Based in London, Thaler will steer the commercial and sales activities for Lufthansa Group Airlines, comprising of Air Dolomiti, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Discover Airlines, Edelweiss, Eurowings, Lufthansa, and SWISS. Prior to this, Sven was responsible for 37 European stations in eleven countries as regional manager ground operations continental north for Lufthansa since 2020.
