LATAM Airlines Group is all set to resume its non-stop flights between Santiago de Chile (SCL) and Melbourne (MEL), Australia, from September 1, 2023. The services on this route were suspended in April 2020 due to pandemic. Last year, LATAM Airlines resumed its flights to Auckland and Sydney International (SYD) in Australia with thrice weekly flights and expanded the capacity to daily flights by December 2022. LATAM also flew to Melbourne from Santiago de Chile and Tahiti (PPT) from Rapa Nui (IPC). Now, the company is resuming one of these last destinations, as it will begin flying again to Melbourne in September.
