Is IndiGo eyeing a record order of 500 Airbus A320 planes?

IndiGo is poised to confirm a record order to acquire up to 500 Airbus A320 aircraft, Reuter reports. Currently IndiGo has a market share of 57% in the Indian domestic market space. Should IndiGo proceed with the order, it would be the largest on record by the number of aircraft. IndiGo is one of Airbus’ largest customers, the airline already has ordered 830 over the years, of which approximately 500 are still yet to be delivered.
