Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) passenger volume during April rose 8.8% year-on-year to 5.8 million. Aircraft movements increased by 3.1% to 33,725, while cargo volume dropped slightly by 0.7% compared to the same month last year to 360,000 tonnes. Passenger traffic was boosted by a 13% growth in transfer/transit traffic and 12% growth in Hong Kong resident traffic. Passenger traffic to/from Southeast Asia and North Asia recorded the most significant increases. For the first four months of 2015, passenger volume and cargo volume grew 8.8% and 1.9% year-on-year to 22.2 million and 1.4 million tonnes, respectively. Flight movements climbed 4.7%
