GOL Linhas Aereas Inteligentes’ preliminary air traffic figures for April 2014 rose by 7.9% domestically in April and by 35.2% internationally. Domestic flights saw a 9.1 percentage point increase in the load factor to 76.8%, on the back of a 5% reduction in capacity. GOL reconfigured its 737-800 NGs to have 177 seats and its 737-700 NGs to 138 seats. At the end of April, 80 aircraft were equipped with the new configuration. For its international routes, GOL increased capacity by 11%, which pushed up the load factor by 12.6 percentage points to 70.4%.
