The French government has increased its shareholding in Air France-KLM by 1.7% to raise its stake to 17.58%. The government has paid between €33.2 million-€45.9 million for up to 5.1 million shares. The government said it was making the purchase to ‘’support the adoption of double voting rights’’ by shareholders at the upcoming annual general shareholders’ meeting May 21, where Air France-KLM’s shareholders’ will vote on the proposed adoption.
