The state government has directed its flag carrier Saudi Airlines to significantly improve its services following the difficulties being faced by Haj pilgrims at Amausi Airport. It was reported on October 13 that Saudi Airlines had not issued tickets to the Haj passengers on time. This forced the government to issue notice to Saudi Airlines chastising it over its careless approach towards the Haj passengers and warned the airline that if its services did not improve within 24 hours, stringent action would be taken. The airline has tendered a written apology to the government.
