Finnair has expanded its Arctic network by announcing new routes to Helsinki, Rovaniemi and Tromsø as a part of its winter schedule. Interestingly these routes will be the only direct connection between Rovaniemi, the hometown of Santa Claus, and Tromsø, the gateway to the Northern Lights. Finnair will operate the flights twice weekly starting December 2, flights will depart Helsinki each Thursday and Saturday, before continuing onto Rovaniemi and Tromsø, before returning via the same routing in the afternoon.
