Embraer is taking some major steps to expand its presence in the rapidly growing Chinese and Indian markets. The airplane maker is looking forward to close a deal of 20 commercial jets to a Chinese airline on the backdrop of Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva’s recent visit to China. With this deal Embraer is hoping to make a comeback to the Chinese mainland. Since the closure of Embraer Chinese facility in 2016, Embraer has not sold a single jet in Chinese market.
