British Airways launches next-generation weather apps

British Airways will launch two next-generation weather apps that will provide its pilots and flight planning teams access to real-time weather data provided. The apps will allow for better planning and mitigating the impact of weather on any intended flight route. The first app will provide pilots access to streamlined weather data from The Weather Company. Additional updates will use onboard Wi-Fi connectivity to further support in-flight real-time weather updates.
