Erik G. Braathen, Brede Huser and Thomas Ramdahl are starting up a new airline in Norway. The new, as yet unnamed airline, will initially lease either five A320neos or 737-800s. Braathens has commented that now is the perfect time to start a new airline to lock in historically low lease rates for aircraft and at a time when there is a glut of unemployed experienced airline personnel available. However, the airline still needs to access capital, hire staff, secure leases and plan its route network. Braathens told media that he expects the airline to begin operations as quickly as possible.
