Binter Canarias, the flag carrier of the Canary Islands, is to lease one ATR 72-600 from regional aircraft lessor Nordic Aviation Capital. Binter’s current fleet comprises 24 ATR 72 turboprop aircraft, complementing its five Embraer 195-E2s. The ATR 72-600 model uses the ‘latest assisted-navigation technology,’ notes the airline, featuring ‘five cockpit LCD digital displays for better control and in-flight safety, slimmer seat design to maximise passenger space and larger baggage compartments’.
